In order to provide a wine experience with the standard of quality and excellence of the company, all visits to Quinta do Crasto are subject to prior appointment and confirmation by the Wine Tourism Department.

Quinta do Crasto is nestled amidst a breathtaking landscape on the right bank of the Douro River between Régua and Pinhão. There are several ways to get there: by road, by rail, by water or by air.

Pick the one that best suits your taste.

CAR

For those who like to travel at their own speed, the car is still the most practical way to reach Quinta do Crasto. Whether travelling alone or with family or friends, the route to the vineyard rises and falls along narrow and winding roads that offer an awe-inspiring view that you should savour as you pause to take in the vistas from the magnificent overlooks above the Douro River. In order to avoid any unintended surprises, it is best to print the MAP and follow the RECOMMENDED STEPS. You can also check Google Maps from either PORTO or LISBON.

TRAIN

One of the most beautiful ways to reach Quinta do Crasto is by taking the Douro Line train from Porto. Lean back in your seat and let the rhythm of the train carry you upriver as you take in the fabulous scenery as framed by the train window. Hop off at the Ferrão station, formerly the last stop on the Douro Line (1880). Find out more at CP – COMBOIOS DE PORTUGAL.

BOAT

Starting either from Porto or Pinhão, you can embark on a contemplative journey up the Douro River towards Quinta do Crasto. You will be rewarded with one of the most magnificent natural landscapes in the world that is formed by the terraces carved out from the slopes rising from the Douro River as you head for the Cais do Ferrão pier.
