For the 5th consecutive time, Quinta do Crasto is featured in the Top 20 of the World’s Best Vineyards, having been awarded the 15th place in the 2023 edition and once again leading the Portuguese ranking of wine estates.

In 2023 Quinta do Crasto Wine Tourism received for the eighth consecutive year the Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor in recognition for the consistently excellent reviews by its visitors.

Best of Wine Tourism 2021

Quinta do Crasto wins the Best of Wine Tourism 2021 award in the Architecture and Landscape category, promoted by the Great Wine Capitals Global Network.

All wine tourism programs are subject to advance reservation via e-mail enoturismo@quintadocrasto.pt and confirmation by the responsible team. The standard Wine Tourism visit to Quinta do Crasto usually begins in the grape reception area; continues through the newly renovated winemaking cellars; move through the innovative barrel cellar, where the premium and super premium wines make their ageing process; shows Vinha Maria Teresa, one of the most emblematic vineyards of Quinta do Crasto, where is given a brief description of the viticulture methods; takes visitors to the laboratory, where the strict quality controls of all our wines are performed; ending at the Century-Old House, where is made the commented tasting of five of our wines (according to the type of tasting previously chosen). The wines that are tasted and commented are usually from the latest vintages available on the market. The duration of the visit and commented wine tasting is approximately 90 minutes.

At Quinta do Crasto, we offer a vast range of Wine Tourism activities specially tailored for each guest. Programmes include as well the possibility of either lunches or dinners, all of which can be combined with boat trips on the Douro River by way of a partnership with the Pipadouro river tour company. All tours end with a visit to our Wineshop where Quinta do Crasto products can be purchased. Situated on the right bank of the Douro River between Régua and Pinhão, Quinta do Crasto is a 135-hectare estate with 74 hectares of vineyards. The property enjoys a privileged location within the Douro Demarcated Region and dates far back in time (the name Crasto comes from the Latin word “castrum” referring to a “Roman fort”).
